Governor Oborevwori’s SSA Akpoguma To Launch Sheriff CARES Movement.
By Henry Ubus
“As part of her dedication to advancing Governor Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff F.O Oborevwori’s MORE AGENDA in Delta State, Sandra Akpoguma, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on female youth is delighted to announce the official launch of the SHERIFF CARES MOVEMENT.
The SHERIFF CARES MOVEMENT, initiated by her office, is a mobile outreach program aimed at supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society, particularly focusing on the female youth constituency in Delta State.
Akpoguma revealed that as part of the formal introduction of this initiative, her office will conduct a TOUR AND FELLOWSHIP WITH FEMALE INMATES OF NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL CENTERS ACROSS DELTA STATE.
At the heart of the Sheriff Cares Movement is the belief that inmates deserve compassion and care. Therefore, the initiative plans to visit correctional facilities across the state, engaging with female inmates through motivational talks, awareness sessions, and the distribution of hygiene essentials and other necessities.
This effort is aimed at restoring the dignity of female inmates and contributing to the reduction of crime in Delta State, aligning with His Excellency, the Governor’s MORE Agenda for Enhanced Peace and Security.
